(Ike's point of view)
Boy I can tell Zac, Tay, and I want to get through this concert as quickly as
possible so that we can go to dinner with the girls. I hope that the audience doesn't
suspect anything. At least we are on the last song of the encore.
After we finish the song we join hands, bow and say good night to everyone.
Then we run backstage. We quickly shower and change. Then we go to meet the
girls. I hope most of the fans are gone. I can't believe I asked Tay and Zac to
come to dinner with Katie and me but I think it's cute that they have girlfriends.
They both are really nervous, especially Zac. Before we reach the girls I give them
a few words of encouragement. "You two will be just fine. We're going to have a
great time with the girls tonight!"
"Thanks Ike." they say in unison.
Then I spot Katie. She really looks nice tonight. I hug Katie, Tay hugs Crystal
and Zac hugs Penny. Then we each introduce our girls to one another.
When I called Katie the other night I asked her to choose a place for us to go
since she knows Detroit better than I do.
"Where shall we go to dinner?" I ask Katie.
"Is Italian ok with every one?" she asks.
We all shake our heads yes.
"Great then we can go to Mama Mia's." she says. "It's just down the road."
I peak outside to see if everyone has left yet. Whew! The parking lot is almost
deserted. We leave the arena and walk to this nice little building. We all go inside
and are seated right away. After we look at the menu Tay and I decide to order
spaghetti, Katie and Crystal order ravioli, and Zac and Penny share a pizza.
After we order we all talk about the concert. Everyone enjoyed it. I'm glad Katie
got to see us because it was her first Hanson concert. Then the food comes and
everyone is too hungry to talk any more.
After our delicious dinner we decide to go get ice cream and take it back to the
hotel. We get our ice cream and then find a taxi to take us back to the hotel. We
go up to the room and talk and eat for awhile. Then Katie says
"Well, thanks for a great night guys but I have to head back to Ann Arbor."
"I'll walk you out." I say to her. She says good bye to everyone and we leave the
room. We get into the elevator.
"Thanks for letting Tay, Zac, Crystal, and Penny come with us. I'm sorry we
didn't get to spend any time alone together." I say.
"That's ok. I think it's cute that they have girlfriends." she says. "I'm just glad
we got to spend some time together."
"Me too. I'll call you tomorrow night." I say.
"OK" she says and then we kiss. She gets into her car and I close the door for
her. She starts the car and drives off. She waves to me and I wave back. I'm
going to miss her.
I go back up to my room. Crystal and Penny are gone.
"Where's Penny?" I ask Zac.
"She called her sister to come and pick her up." Zac has the biggest smile on his
face.
"You got her phone# didn't you?" I ask.
"Yep. Thanks again for letting Penny and I come tonight. We had a great time."
Zac says.
"No problem." I say. Then Zac goes and takes a shower.
"Did you and Crystal have a good time?" I ask Tay.
"Yep. Thanks for letting us come along too. I know it was hard for you and
Katie." Tay says.
"Well, you guys behaved and it was cute to see you two with the girls." I say and
smile.
Tay rolls his eyes and says "Thanks Ike. Good night". He promptly falls asleep.
I turn out the light. I bet he's dreaming about Crystal. I know I will be dreaming
about Katie tonight.
