Well, here we are on the road for the This Time Around Tour. Katie's at school but when we play in

Michigan in a few days I will get to see her. I got to spend time with her while she was in Tulsa but not as

much as I had hoped. Because, couple of weeks after she got back from school back in May I called her in

the middle of the night because I needed to know something.

"Hello?" Katie says.

"Hey Katie" I say"

"Ike it's the middle of the night. What's wrong?" She says.

"Tell me you'll never leave me" I say.

"What?" she says.

"Tell me you'll never leave me" I say.

"Ike where are you?" she asks.

"Home." I say.

"Meet me in my backyard in 5" she says and hangs up. This can't be good.

I go over to her house. She's already outside.

"Ike I'm going to Dallas to stay with friends for 40 days." She tells me.

"Why?" I ask "We were supposed to spend some time together before we both have to leave."

"I know Ike but I want to work on my website so I can get that internship in the fall. Plus I want to

find out who I am. You already know who you are and have your music to express yourself. I don't

have either one of those things. Even Jesus took 40 days away from everyone. Besides, I'll have my laptop

and my cell so we will be able to talk to each other every day"

"But what if you decide you don't want to see me anymore?" I ask her.

"But what if it makes my love for you even stronger? I need your support, faith, and trust in our relationship

for this Ike." she says.

I sigh. "Ok you have it. I hope you find what you're looking for."

"I know I will. Thanks Ike." She says.

Before she left, she burned some songs for me on to a cd and some pictures of us on another. I gave her a cd

also and a picture.

It was hard for me but she came back and to my surprise her love for me was stronger. She also had a
