Ike's point of view.
We finally got the new album mixed and it will come out in May. We are going to do some promo work
in March and April. Then we will tour this summer. But now we are home for the holidays. We have
the house all decorated and we are ready to spend time with all of our friends and relatives.
But first Katie is coming home for the holidays as well. I am going to surprise her by picking her up at the
airport.
I get to the gate just as her plane arrives. She gets off the plane and notices me.
"Ike, what are you doing here?" she asks me.
"I asked your parents if I could surprise you by picking you up at the airport and they said yes." I tell her.
"Do you have any more luggage?"
"Yes, one bag." She says. We walk down to baggage claim and get her bag. Then we go to my car, leave
the parking lot, and head back to her house.
"Do you want to grab a bite to eat on the way home?" I ask her.
"No thanks. Mom's making dinner. I can't wait for a home cooked meal. You begin to appreciate them after
cafeteria food." She says. "Do you want to stay for dinner?"
"Well, I probably should eat at home. Mom's making dinner for all of us tonight." I say.
"Oh ok. " She says.
"How was finals?" I ask.
"Tough but I think I did ok." she says.
"How's your grandpa?" I ask.
"He's ok. He still wants to drive but he and grandma like their new apartment. I just wish that grandpa
would find something to replace driving with. How's the album coming?" She says.
"We are done mixing and it should be out in May. We are planning a listening party for some time in March
I hope you can come." I say.
"We'll see" she says. We arrive at her house.
"Here we are." I say.
"Yep." she says. We get out of the car and I help her with her bags. We go inside.
"I'm home!" she yells. Her parents run into the hall to greet her.
"Welcome home" They say and give her hugs and kisses.
"Thanks for letting me pick her up." I tell them.
"No problem" her Dad tells me.
"I have to get going. I'll call you tomorrow." I say.
"ok. Talk to you then." Katie says.
I leave and get in my car to head home.
