Ike's point of view
Tay, Zac, and I invited Katie, Penny, and Crystal to L.A. for the weekend before Valentines Day. It's
going to be a short visit But at least we get to see them.
We decided to go to the Farmer's Market. Once there, we went our separate ways and will meet up later.
Katie and I are walking around talking.
"So how's school?" I ask her.
"Fine. I still like all my classes." she says. "Rachel and I might try to find an apartment next semester.
We also will probably try to take some summer school classes. We'll be able to graduate earlier which will
help me financially."
"We will still be able to spend plenty of time together though." she says. That makes me feel better.
"Oh. I see." I say.
"How's Chris?" I ask her.
"He's doing fine. I am not in love with him you know. I love you." She says.
"I know." I say.
"I'm trying to find him a girlfriend but it is not easy. His break up with his ex-girlfriend still hurts and
he's afraid he'll repeat it with someone new. Besides I haven't found someone who he will really click with
yet. But I will I hope. I can't and don't want to force him in to something that he doesn't want to do." she
says.
"You're right." I say.
"I found out that my Grandpa has Alzheimer's." Katie says. "When I went home for Christmas he was
having a hard time remembering some things. I guess he stares off in to space too. The Doctor told him
he can't drive. My Grandparents will also be moving into apartments that have people that take care of
seniors. My Dad, Aunt, and Grandma are taking it pretty hard. My Grandpa has become depressed because of
it."
"I'm sorry. It must be rough on you. I remember when my Grandma got sick and then passed away. We all
took that pretty hard too." I say.
"Thanks." Katie says. "How's the new album coming?"
"Fine. We also have taken up surfing and Mountain Climbing. Sometimes we just need a break from
recording or we would kill each other." I say.
"Yeah, I can just imagine the headline." Katie says and laughs.
"Me too" I say. "We better go meet the others."
"Ok. Thanks for letting me talk Ike. I really appreciate it." Katie says.
"You're welcome. Anytime." I tell her and give her a hug. We walk off to go meet the others.
