Crystal's point of view
Well, we made it to LA. The tour continues to go well. I'm still having fun but I'm nervous about what will
become of Tay and I once the tour is over. The guys play the Hollywood Bowl tonight. Right now they are
doing a sound check. Mom and I are there with them. Some time after the tour they will begin recording their
next album. While they are practicing they start to play a song that they are writing that might wind up on the
album. It's a beautiful song. It's about a couple who has just gotten divorced. My Mom listens to the song.
Suddenly she runs backstage. I run after her. I catch up to her and give her a hug.
"Mom, are you ok?" I say. She is crying.
"I'll be alright. That song just reminded me what your Father and I went through when we got divorced."
she says.
Justin comes up behind my Mom but doesn't say anything.
"I can ask Taylor not to play it anymore if you want me to." I say.
"No, that's alright." Mom says.
"Are you sure? I'll be glad to talk to them too." Justin says.
"Yes I'm sure. It took them a lot of time and energy to write that song. Besides, it's a beautiful song that
has a wonderful message behind it. It should be heard. It could help a lot of people." she says.
"Ok, well if you change your mind let us know." I say and give her another hug.
"I will, thanks." she says.
We all go back to help the guys finish the sound check.
Penny's point of view
After Detroit Zac and I e-mailed and called each other on a regular basis. During one of his calls he asked
me if I wanted to go to the concerts in LA and San Francisco with him. I thought my parents would refuse
but Mom talked to Mrs. Hanson and then to my surprise and delight they said I could go.
So, here I am backstage before their concert at the Hollywood Bowl. There are tons of famous people
here including my favorite actor. I'm in awe! There are also some fans and a few kids from the Make a Wish
foundation. Ike, Tay, and Zac are talking to Spencer Davis. I know they are wowed by this because they
cover one of his songs in their concert.
After they are done talking to Mr. Davis Zac comes over to talk to me.
"Having fun?" he asks.
"Yah, I'm having a blast!" I say.
"Cool, I've got to go get ready to go on stage soon. See you after the show." Zac says.
"Ok. Later dude." I say and watch him go off with his brothers.
